The Circuit Court handles all felony and misdemeanor cases originated out of this Court. However, it also handles any appeals from the General District and Juvenile and Domestic Relations Courts. In all of these cases, the Commonwealth of Virginia is t he Complainant. The person charged with the offense is the Defendant.
